NMOG collaborates with many Islamic organisations in the Infaq campaign.

Zakat, sadaqa al-fitr and all other superfluous charity fall under infaq. But since zakat is obligatory and sadaqa al-fitr is wajib and its giving is subject to certain rules, all other types of charity and expenditure are also called infaq. Infaq activates the exalted qualities in the human soul, purifies the soul, opens the mind for wisdom, opens the hearts for faith, transforms deeds into ihlas and ihsan. Almsgiving is one of the defining dynamics of social change. Alms serve the building and survival of civilisation.
