Your data is only processed for specific purposes, such as administrative tasks, executing agreements and sending newsletters and donations. The Federation Foundation NMOG processes personal data and uses cookies. In this privacy statement, we inform you about the purposes for which personal data are processed, how you can exercise your privacy rights and other information that may be of interest to you.
This privacy statement applies to all activities (including those via the website) of NMOG and provides the most relevant information per topic.
NMOG handles personal data with care and acts within the limits of the law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG).
NMOG considers it essential that the personal data of its participants, volunteers, members, donors, employees and other relations - ‘the data subjects’- are handled and secured with the utmost care. We also want to be open about how your data is processed by us. We therefore explain this below. First and foremost, we comply with the requirements set by the AVG in all cases. For what purposes does NMOG process your personal data?
NMOG is a religious organisation dedicated to the emancipation of Muslims in Dutch society. Its main tasks are the operation of mosque buildings, providing opportunities for religious practice, both individually and collectively, organising various religious, cultural, social and educational activities such as providing koran lessons, seminars, courses, commemorative meetings and the like, providing information to visitors regarding developments in Dutch society
NMOG collects and processes personal data for clear and predetermined purposes, because this is necessary for, among other things:
entering into and executing agreements;
keeping participant, volunteer and donor records;
offering services, sending a newsletter, promotion and marketing purposes;
realising a good match between participant and volunteer within the framework of the volunteer activities;
surveying participants, volunteers and donors and conducting research;
registering your settings and preferences regarding the use of the website (via cookies);
entering into cooperation with third parties;
our business operations; - complying with a legal obligation;
archive purposes, where data are only used in legal proceedings or for historical, statistical or scientific purposes.
NMOG processes personal data through, among others, the secretariat of departments, districts and national office and the NMOG website. This is done on the basis of consent or because of NMOG's legitimate interest and only to the extent necessary for the relevant purpose or agreed activity. Outside the above-mentioned processing purposes, NMOG does not process your personal data without your prior consent.
It is possible that in certain cases your data, anonymised, will be used for statistical analyses and reports.
Which personal data does NMOG collect?
NMOG collects different categories of personal data:
NAW data (name, address, place of residence);
bank account number (IBAN);
telephone number;
age or date of birth;
gender;
e-mail address;
if necessary: other data necessary to carry out the activity for which you have registered;
interaction data (e.g. information received when you contact us. For example, a note of the conversation with participants is stored).
NMOG may process special personal data. Which are necessary for participation or implementation of the activities NMOG. Explicit consent is given for this.
NMOG collects personal data directly from you, but in appropriate cases also through third parties, insofar as this is in accordance with the AVG.
How does NMOG ensure confidential handling of personal data?
NMOG handles personal data confidentially. NMOG also takes appropriate technical and organisational measures so that personal data is protected. NMOG shares personal data only in accordance with this privacy statement and only with third parties, when permissible and carefully.
On behalf of NMOG, business service providers may provide certain parts of the service in execution of an agreement. NMOG makes arrangements with these processors to ensure confidential and careful handling of personal data. These arrangements are laid down contractually in so-called ‘processor agreements’.
To protect your personal data as much as possible against unauthorised access or use, NMOG applies appropriate security technology. When you transfer data to us, this is always done via a secure connection. We always report (attempted) abuse. NMOG also takes organisational measures to secure personal data against unauthorised access.

Unless mentioned in this privacy statement, your personal data will not be rented, sold or otherwise shared with or provided to third parties. NMOG may share your (personal) data with third parties if you have given your consent to do so.
NMOG provides personal data to enforcement authorities or anti-fraud organisations when necessary to comply with a legal obligation (claim).
Data breach
If a data breach occurs and affects data subjects, the Personal Data Authority is informed and we inform you as a data subject.
Retention periods
NMOG stores your personal data in accordance with the AVG. The data are not kept longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data were collected.
Your rights as a data subject are:

right of inspection;
right to rectification, supplementation, deletion or blocking;
right to data portability;
right to oblivion;
right to restriction of processing.
